LG G Flex 2

LG G Flex 2 Information:

LG has announced their first-gen G Flex device back in 2013. This was a curved device (with a curved screen) which also sported a self-healing back cover, and that surprised many people. The handset was well-received and it was quite obvious that LG will release its successor. That happened during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2015. The G Flex 2 is an improvement over its predecessor in basically every way. The handset kept the self-healing back, the curve, but got a slight redesign and bumped up specifications. It's still kind of a unique device thanks to its odd shape.

The LG G Flex 2 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Curved P-OLED display along with 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB). The 2GB version ships with 16GB of RAM, and the 3GB model comes with 32GB of in-built storage. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor is powering on this handset along with an Adreno 430 GPU. 13-megapixel OIS camera is located on the back of this handset (+dual LED flash), while there's a 2.1-megapixel snapper available up front. This handset comes with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop out of the box with LG's UI on top of it. A non-removable 3,000mAh battery is also a part of the package. The G Flex 2 measures 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4mm and weighs 152 grams.

LG G Flex 2 Editor Rating:

The LG G Flex 2 is an improvement over the original G Flex, that's for sure. LG did a great job differentiating this device, and yet kept its essence. The G Flex 2 is definitely a handset that will appeal to anyone, its curved shape is still kind of an odd concept to regular consumers. This time around though, the handset has fewer drawbacks and people who want a flagship handset which differentiates from the bunch definitely might be interested. The G Flex 2 offers great specs, great performance and a rather capable camera, plus a unique look and is a nicely designed handset.
