ZTE Nubia Z9 Was Briefly Listed In China, Due To Arrive Soon

ZTE has announced the Nubia Z7 back in July 2014. This China-based company has also released the Nubia Z7 Mini and Nubia Z7 Max, as part of the Nubia Z7 lineup. We’ve seen a ton of Nubia Z9 leaks, and the company has even quietly showcased the Nubia Z9 Max at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona the other day. ZTE haven’t announced that handset however, the Nubia Z9 Max will be announced in China later this month according to the provided information, but what we do know thus far is that the device will sport a 5.5-inch display, be powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor and be made out of metal with a glass panel on the back.

The company didn’t share any info regarding the Nubia Z9 though, but it is possible that they’ll launch that handset along with the Z9 Max later this month, despite the fact that both of their predecessors (Z7 and Z7 Max) were launched in July 2014. Anyhow, a new report from China says that the ZTE Nubia Z9 was briefly listed on one of the biggest Chinese resellers, Jingdong Mall. The listing was removed since then, but it seems like ZTE will announce the whole Nubia Z9 lineup at the end of March. The Nubia Z9 will, much like the Z9 Max, be made out of metal with a glass panel on the back, and we can expect a 5.5-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display and 3 or 4GB of internal storage. This handset will most probably also be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 SoC, and will sport a 16-megapixel camera on the back with a ton of ZTE camera software features packed in.

Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed on both the Nubia Z9 and Z9 Max (probably Z9 Mini as well), with ZTE’s custom UI placed on top of Google’s operating system. There you have it folks, we can expect the company to unveil the Nubia Z9 lineup at the end of March. We’ll surely see more leaks in the meantime though, so stay tuned, let’s see what happens.
