Google Play Edition of LG’s G Pad 8.3 Gets Android 5.1 Update
That’s right folks, the Nexus 9 doesn’t have Android 5.1 yet, but the Google Play Edition of the LG G Pad 8.3 is getting it this week. We can’t be bitter though, the G Pad 8.3 is a great tablet, and we’re sure Google have their reasons. Either way, those running Android 5.0 will get an update that’s around 200MB in size and it should be available on your device right now. If not, then the OTA link from Google has been located and here it is.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 Getting Lollipop in Canada
Samsung might be launching the Galaxy S6 today all over the globe, but there are other Samsung devices to think about and in Canada, that means Lollipop for the Galaxy Note 4 is available! The update is a pretty hefty one that comes in at almost a full gigabyte, but it will leave your device on Android 5.0.2. It’s now rolled out to users on Bell, TELUS, Koodo, Videotron, SaskTel and WIND Mobile as well as Rogers, so have at it guys!
Sony Z Ultra Gets Android 5.1 Update
The giant Z Ultra from Sony, not to be confused with the Xperia Z Ultra, is getting Android 5.1 this week. It looks like Google Play Editions really did live up to the whole “not-a-Nexus-but-secretly-a-Nexus” thing after all. The 6.4-inch giant has been updated to build LMY47D and the OTA link has been found and those interested can download it directly from Google here.
Galaxy S5 Gets Lollipop Update on US Cellular
It might have taken them a little longer, but US Cellular is finally rolling out Android 5.0.1 to users on their network with a Galaxy S5. You know the drill by now, it’s Lollipop, it adds flatter, more colorful design to your device but for the most part TouchWiz will remain the same. The software version you’re looking for is G900R4VXU1BOC1 and more information is available from US Cellular.
HTC One M9 Gets Camera Update
We recently reviewed the HTC One M9 and while we thought the camera looked pretty great, there were many that disagreed, and so HTC have readied an update to make the camera better overall. The above is a screenshot of the update and the software number. Basically, the only thing that has changed here is the camera. We haven’t been able to test this out just yet, but we will do that’s for sure.

Add this to the list of devices to get Android 5.1 before the Nexus 9; the HTC One Google Play Edition. It’s been blessed with Android 5.1 Lollipop with an update that’s about 250MB or so. It’s also available to download directly from Google here.
AT&T Brings Android 5.0 Lollipop to the Galaxy S4
That’s right folks, the Galaxy S4 is finally getting Android 5.0.1 Lollipop on AT&T. This is a pretty big update, and will bring your device up-to-speed with the rest of the Samsung herd, but don’t expect a revolution or anything, TouchWiz remains the same. This is a big update at 950MB or so, and more information can be found directly from AT&T.
