Facebook Launch New "Hello" Dialer App For Android With Improved Contacts And Call Blocking

Facebook seems to have been on a rampage recently when it comes to releasing and launching new services. Especially in the last few weeks. It was only last week that the news came in that the Facebook Messenger app had now gone full Material Design and adding new business features. Not to mention, in the first week of April, the reports began to emerge that Facebook has started integrated WhatsApp into its app.

Well, the Facebook news for April has still not finished as today the company has released a new app and this one is designed to become your default dialer on your android device. In fact, the Facebook dialer app had been doing the rumor rounds over the last few week although now the app seems to have gone live for android users. The app which has been called “Hello” is designed to be a dialer replacement on your phone. As you would expect with this being a Facebook product, the app comes running fully compatible with your Facebook account. In fact, it touts a number of features that you won’t find on other apps due to their Facebook integration. For instance, the app will provide caller ID information regardless of whether or not you have the caller’s phone number in your phone contacts list.

In addition, the app will also allow users to save on their talk time when making calls or sending texts. This is done as the app will allow users to use Messenger to make the calls or texts instead of using the cellular connection. Another Interesting additional feature is the ability to crowd block a phone number. So for instance, if you often receive a lot of spam calls from certain numbers, if others have also received the same calls and marked the number as spam then your app will also recognize the number as spam and subsequently block the incoming call. If you are a Facebook user (or not but interested in the service) then the app is free and you can download the app for android now from the Play Store.
