HTC has announced quite a few high-end devices thus far this year. The company has announced the One M9 handset last month during MWC, this is HTC’s official flagship for this year. Soon after the One M9 announcement, a lot of leaks coming in showing off HTC’s One M9+ and One E9+ devices which actually launched earlier this month in China. Well, HTC has announced both of those devices in India as well earlier today, we’ve already covered that announcement and are here to talk about the third device that was announced in India.
Along with the two high-end offerings, HTC has announced the Desire 326G entry-level handset for the Indian market. The Desire 326G features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 32GB). This thing is powered by Spreadtrum’s SC7731G quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and it offers 2 SIM card slots. The 8-megapixel BSI camera is located on the back of the device, and a 2-megapixel BSI snapper is available up front. The 2,000mAh battery will ship with this device and the device offers 3G connectivity, no 4G LTE available here unfortunately. The Desire 326G measures 139.7 x 69.6 x 9.7mm and weighs 146 grams, in case you were wondering. Bluetooth 4.0 and the usual array of sensors are also included in this package.

There you have it folks, the HTC Desire 326G is an entry-level device and it will be interesting to see how powerful is the Spreadtrum’s chip which is powering it. This Taiwan-based company did not share any pricing info just yet, but the device will land in late May and it will presumably cost around Rs. 10,000 ($160), perhaps even less than that.
