Like Xiaomi, Huawei is another prime example of a Chinese manufacturer who is aiming big. Like Xiaomi, Huawei have been making big inroads in their domestic China market and have recently looked to branch out into other markets. In particular, Huawei seems intent on entering Europe and pushing its decent spec devices set at mid-range prices. A good example of the type of offering which is en-route to Europe is the Honor 4X which comes from Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor.
The Honor 4X was first announced back in December for the China market. However, since then, has seen its availability moving across the waters. As mentioned, it is en-route to various European countries and only very recently saw its availability in India also being announced. In terms of the actual device, the Honor 4X is firmly placed in the phablet market, with the display coming in at 5.5-inches in size and with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the device is equipped with 2GB RAM and powered by Huawei’s 64-bit Kirin 620 Octa-core processor (clocking at 1.2 GHz). In terms of cameras, the Honor 4X will come with a 13 MP rear-facing camera coupled with a sufficient 5MP front-facing option. In terms of storage, this will be the lesser selling point of the device, with only 8GB internal storage offered as standard. That said, a MicroSD card slot will be on offer so users can expand the memory if needed (up to 32GB). Additionally, the Honor 4X will come with a 3,000mAh battery and running on Android 4.4 (KitKat), along with Huawei’s Emotion UI over the top. Not to mention, the Honor 4X is going to be really well priced in Europe coming in at an expected €200 marker.
Well, to help promote the Honor 4X, it seems a new promo video has even released. Interestingly, the video has a strange space-age feel and look to its design, which further seems to highlight how out-of-this-world and powerful the device is.
