The Snapdragon 615-Powered Xiaomi Mi 4i Gets Benchmarked

Xiaomi has held an event in India quite recently where they announced the Xiaomi Mi 4i handset. This is a mid-range device, but a very well equipped and built mid-range handset, not to mention that Xiaomi has slapped a rather affordable price tag on it. We’ll talk more about its specifications and pricing later on, this handset will be available in India first and will then be offered in additional markets in Asia. Xiaomi did not say whether they intend to launch this handset outside of Asia.

That being said, the first Xiaomi Mi 4i benchmarks are in. As you probably already know, the Mi 4i is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor which ships with an Adreno 405 GPU. Having that in mind, if you take a look at the gallery below this article you’ll notice quite a few images showing off Mi 4i’s benchmarks performance. The phone was tested in basically every way imaginable, all sorts of AnTuTu, GFXBench and Geekbench test are included down below which should give you a good idea how capable this handset is, though keep in mind that benchmarks never tell the whole story and don’t necessarily represent the device all that well. This handset did alright as far as benchmarks go, he did really well in certain aspects, and was somewhat disappointing in others. In Quadrant Benchmark he actually scored 23,495, which placed it above the HTC Desire 820 and Yu Yureka, while it is placed below the Mi 3 in the Geekbench 3 Multi-Core test. Either way, take a look at the gallery down below and see for yourself.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i sports a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Sharp / JDI fully laminated display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 16GB of non-expandable internal storage. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor which ships with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture) is located on the back of this handset along with a dual-LED, dual tone flash. The 5-megapixel snapper will be available on the front side of the Mi 4i. The Xiaomi Mi 4i will ship with a 3,120mAh battery with included Quick Charge capability. If you’d like to take a look at in-depth specifications of the device, visit our specs article.
