The ASUS MeMO Pad 7 LTE Lands on AT&T's Store Shelves on April 10th

This Friday is a big day for AT&T. They already have the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and HTC One M9 launching. Now they also have a new tablet from ASUS launching as well. It’s the MeMO Pad 7 LTE. As you’d expect, it is exclusive to AT&T. AT&T is going to sell you the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 LTE for $0.99 when you purchase a new smartphone on AT&T Next. It’ll be $8.75 for 20 months on AT&T’s tablet version of the NEXT plan. Or if you want to sign a two-year contract, it’ll be $75. You can add this tablet to your account, or your Mobile Share Plan for just $10 per month. That’s on top of the $8.75 that you’d be paying for the device on NEXT. This is also AT&T’s first tablet on their GoPhone plans, and it’ll be priced at $175. With GoPhone you can get 2GB of data for $25, 5GB of $50 and 8GB for $75

The ASUS MeMO Pad 7 LTE features an Intel Atom processor, which is a quad-core 1.3GHz processor. It’s also running on Android 4.4 Kitkat, and not Lollipop. We’re also looking at 2GB of DDR3 RAM as well as 16GB of storage which does also have a microSD card slot that supports up to an additional 64GB of storage. ASUS also has dual-front facing stereo speakers. And a HD IPS+ display, so you’re looking at a 720p display here. ASUS has been touting the viewing angles on this tablet as well.

While the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 LTE isn’t as high-end as the three smartphones that AT&T is putting on their shelves this Friday, it’s definitely priced appropriately. It’s a great tablet to hand over to your parents or even your kids. As it’s not an expensive tablet, but still has all the great features you’d expect from an Android tablet. Unlike a lot of other ASUS tablets out there, mainly the Fonepad line, this one does not make phone calls, unfortunately. However that won’t stop you from using Hangouts to make calls over a data connection. You just can’t use your AT&T number to do so.

So on Friday, April 10th, we have the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, HTC One M9 and the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 LTE all coming to AT&T.
