HTC’s new One M9 flagship has been announced at the beginning of last month and is already available in certain regions. Many reports were stating that HTC plans to announce the One M9+ along with the One M9 during the Mobile World Congress, but that hasn’t happened. This Taiwan-based smartphone OEM did schedule an event in Beijing quite recently, which will be held on April 8th, and HTC will definitely announce the One M9+ during that event. HTC One M9+ Promo materials leaked out earlier today confirming the design of the device and also mentioning April 8th as the release date.
That being said, we have some new renders to share with you. Two new renders surfaced online thank to @upleaks, and you can check both of those in the gallery below this article. The first image showcases front and back side of what seems to be an Amber Gold HTC One M9+ handset. You get a nice look at the handset’s physical home button which will allegedly double as a fingerprint scanner, and BoomSound speakers which now look somewhat different on the outside thanks to the home button. The Duo Camera setup on the back is also clearly visible on this render. The second image showcases China Mobile’s version of the device sporting the very same color as the first one. This render showcases every single side of the device, and reveals all the buttons and ports are identical to the ones on the One M9. Volume rockers, power button and the SIM card slot is on the right, and the SD card slot is located on the left side of the device.
According to previous leaks / benchmarks, the HTC One M9+ will feature a 5.2-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. You’ll be able to find MediaTek’s MT6795T octa-core processor under the hood here along with a PowerVR Rogue G6200 GPU. 20.7-megapixel snapper will be located on the back of this device with an additional camera above it (Duo Camera setup), while a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera will quite probably be available on the front side of this device. Android 5.0 Lollipop will ship with this device along with HTC’s Sense 7 UI which will be installed on top of Google’s OS.
