Last year, with the LG G3 we were introduced to Smart Bulletin. It’s basically a screen to the left of your home screen that has some information from some of LG’s own apps. With the LG G3, it was mostly LG Health, QRemote and Smart Tips. With the LG G4, LG has decided to expand it and add in the calendar, music and smart settings. So today, we’re going to take a closer look at this feature in the LG G4.
In Smart Bulletin, you can control which sections show up as well as reorganize them. All you need to do is tap on the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of Smart Bulletin. You can also easily minimize the sections except for the smart tips, which will remain expanded.
Smart Bulletin is great for getting quick info, especially if you use the calendar app, as you can see all the events on your calendar right there. Additionally, you can keep up with LG Health and see how many steps you’ve taken today. And see how close you are to your goal. If you have music stored locally, you can also control your music from Smart Bulletin. There’s also Smart Settings, which is a pretty cool feature. It allows you to automate some functions of your smartphone like Bluetooth, WiFi and Sound. And have it automatically turn on or off when you are at home, when you leave home or when you plug in you headphones. There’s also one for when you connect to Bluetooth. That’s pretty useful.
So all of this makes up Smart Bulletin. It’s a really useful tool, and one I’d encourage everyone to use at least for a little bit. However, if you don’t like Smart Bulletin, you can turn it off pretty easily. Just tap on that gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of Smart bulletin, and in that new screen you should see a toggle to turn off Smart Bulletin in the upper right-hand corner.
