The Chinese market is the biggest smartphone market in the world, there are a lot of currently active smartphone OEMs over there. Some of them are very well known, others, not so much. Doogee belongs in the latter category, but much like a number of other companies, this China-based OEM is trying to make a name for itself. Doogee has been around for quite some time, this company has manufactured over 30 handsets thus far. Much like a number of other Chinese companies, Doogee is also selling their devices through a number of online retailers.
That being said, the company plans to launch a new device in the near future, the Doogee Valencia2 Y100 Pro. That is a cumbersome name, but a rather interesting device, primarily because of its price, but we’ll get to that a bit later on. This handset will feature a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display (2.5D curved glass + Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection on top) along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit SoC will power this thing, and a 2,200mAh battery will also be part of this package. The 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s sensor) will be located on the back of Doogee Valencia2 Y100 Pro, while an 8-megapixel snapper (OmniVision’s sensor) will be available up front. This handset will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed with the company’s UI on top of it, and 4G LTE connectivity will also be available here.
Another interesting thing to mention here, is that the device will probably get support for CyanogenMod (CM) 12.1 and/or MIUI 6 OS. The Doogee Valencia2 Y100 Pro will sport a metal back cover, and will cost only $119.99 according to the company. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll be able to see a number of images of the device itself. The handset will sport 3 capacitive buttons below the display: menu, home and back, respectively. There’s also a promo video by the company embedded down below, so check that out if you’re interested. The Doogee Valencia2 Y100 Pro is a rather interesting mid-ranger which will be released on June 25th, and as you can see, its price is one of the most appealing aspects of this smartphone.
