AT&T Release Android Lollipop For Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5

If you own the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 through carrier AT&T then you’ll be interested in knowing that Android 5.0 Lollipop has been released for the device. Slowly more devices and carriers are releasing the update and it just so happens that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 for AT&T is next. This is not to be confused with the update that was released a few months ago for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 devices that were already unlocked. Nevertheless, consumers will start to see the update become available on their device soon.

Just like before, carrier AT&T is releasing the OTA update in stages. Not everyone will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system update today but don’t panic, the update will be arriving shortly. Consumers who own the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet may be waiting a few days to a couple weeks before the rollout reaches their area and device which is pretty standard between all carriers. This operating system update will finally grant the tablet everything we’ve come to know and love about Android 5.0 Lollipop. Expect to see the new material design user interface, improvements in battery life and notifications, performance tweaks to offer a smoother experience along with a variety of other updated apps and settings.

Now before you’re actually able to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system update, you will have to abide by a few rules. For starters, consumers will have to make sure that their Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 device is fully connected to the internet, most often it’s suggested that it be through a stable Wi-Fi network. Furthermore, your tablet must have at least 1.1 GB of storage available. When your device receives the update, you will find a notification popup alerting you of the update and some on-screen directions. Another means of checking for the update is to use the Software Update setting. This setting can be accessed by going to your main Settings > General > About Device > Software Update. By going to this location on your tablet, you will be able to manually check for the update more frequently but again, this will only work when the Android 5.0 rollout reaches your area and device.
