ZTE’s upcoming flagship, the Nubia Z9, has been leaking all over the place for months now. We’ve seen a ton of images of this device accompanied by all sorts of other information. The Nubia Z9 will launch tomorrow and join the rest of the Nubia Z9 family, the Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini which were launched quite recently. The Nubia Z9 will be the most powerful device in ZTE’s lineup and will sport the ‘bezel-less’ design which we’ve seen leak so many times thus far. This handset is also expected to offer what ZTE calls ‘FiT’ or ‘Fringe Interaction Technology’. This tech should provide some special functionality to Nubia Z9’s side screens, you can see this tech in action by clicking here.
That being said, some new Nubia Z9 info leaked, price info that is. According to this leak from Jingdong Mall, the Nubia Z9 will be priced at 4,299 Yuan ($693) in China, which is a very steep price for ZTE’s upcoming flagship. If this info is legit, the Nubia Z9 will be significantly more expensive than the Nubia Z9 Max for example, and more expensive than a number of flagships currently available in the market. This handset will sport a premium build and basically no side bezels, which will certainly make it look unique. Anyhow, let’s check out its specifications, shall we.
The Nubia Z9 was actually certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently, but that listing seemed somewhat off. According to TENAA, the Nubia Z9 will sport 8GB of RAM and an octa-core SoC clocked at 3.5GHz, which is highly unlikely. The Nubia Z9 will quite probably sport a 5.15-inch 1080p or QuadHD display along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor and will sport the same camera sensors as its Nubia Z9 cousins. The 16-megapixel OIS camera will be located on the back of this handset, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be available up front for all your selfie and video call needs. There you have it, this handset will be revealed tomorrow, so stay tuned for that.
