Featured Review: Verus Iron Shield For The Galaxy S6

If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect case to compliment your Samsung Galaxy S6, we have another case review for you to check out. This is one is another case from Verus who we reviewed the Iron Bumper from earlier on in the week, and like that particular case this one comes along with a metal frame made of aluminum that fits around the edge of the phone. It’s called the Iron Shield, and unlike the Iron Bumper case it actually comes with a TPU rubberized case that fits around the entire phone to protect not only the sides but also the back of the case, making it two separate pieces.

The Iron Shield follows along with other cases we’ve seen from Verus, keeping things nice and slim while giving your phone a little bit of protection from drops and dings, scratches and scuffs and the like. The back of the case has a nice textured feel to it which I found to help with the grip of the device, and the metal frame feels nice in the hand not too unlike the actual metal frame of the phone.

The case fits on nice and snug which means it isn’t going to pop off should you accidentally drop it, although this makes it insanely difficult to remove, and there is just enough of a lip on the front of the case so it should help protect the screen from scratches if it falls face down. WiFi, cell, and GPS signals seemed to be OK while using the Iron Shield so you shouldn’t have to worry about interference. The only issue I had with this case is the fact just like the Iron Bumper case, the power button and volume rocker are fairly hard to press. Not impossible, but certainly  not easy, which might be annoying for some users. It’s possible that these tend to loosen up with extended use, but unfortunately I haven’t used it long enough to know for certain. Overall, if you want a little bit of protection but want to keep the device slim and looking great, Verus seems to have you covered as their cases are pretty stylish. The Iron Shield also provides a hair more protection than the Iron Bumper as the glass back is protected. You can find these Amazon right now for about $22, which makes them quite suitable for anyone not looking to spend a lot of money on a case, and just like the Iron Bumper it comes in three different colors of Titanium Silver, Satin Silver, and Champagne Gold.
