Hands On With The ASUS ZenFone 2

Today ASUS is announcing the official North American launch of the ZenFone 2 at their ‘Incredible Comes To New York’ event, and very soon consumers in both the U.S. and Canada will be able to pick up the device both off contract and unlocked so they can use it anywhere with any carrier. The ASUS ZenFone 2 comes equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display with a 5MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 5.0 Lollipop with the ASUS Zen UI on top for the interface. We’re live at the event today and have been able to get some hands-on time with the device there, and even though the ZenFone 2 has technically already been available for a little while and we’ve already reviewed the Asian model, what we’re looking at here is the North American version of the device first hand. ASUS will be officially launching the device for purchase online only starting tomorrow completely contract-free and unlocked, starting at $299 for the 4GB RAM model and $199 for the 2GB RAM model.
