HTC has been trying to improve their sales for quite some time now. This Taiwan-based smartphone OEM has been trying to launch all sorts of smartphones, and they’ve actually released a number of high-end offerings as of late. The HTC One M9 was launched during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona back in March, and it was followed by One M9+, One E9+, and it seems like HTC plans to announce two more handsets in the coming weeks. The high-end One ME9 surfaced a couple of times now and is expected to hit India really soon, and now we have some info regarding yet another HTC-branded handset.

The HTC A50C surfaced, which is allegedly another member of HTC’s mid-range Desire family. The details of this devices were leaked by @upleaks, but it seems like this handset was also certified in China already according to some info from that Asian country. Anyhow, the HTC A50C will reportedly spot a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753T octa-core processor and it offers Dual-SIM support. The 13-megapixel camera (Samsung’s S5K3L2XX sensor) will be available on its back, while a rear-facing 5-megapixel snapper (Samsung’s S5K5E2YA unit) will be there for your selfie and video call needs. Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this handset along with HTC’s Sense 7.0 UI which will ship on top of Google’s OS.

According to @upleaks, the device will launch on China Telecom with 4G LTE support, and the leaker is still not sure whether it will be available from China Telecom or not. According to IT168, the device show in the provided image is in fact HTC A50C we talked about here. It is possible that the device will be called ‘D826s’, which could stand for ‘Desire 826s’, and that’s probably going to be its full name when it hits the market. When will that happen? Well, considering the fact that the device was reportedly already certified, that could happen really soon. How much will this thing cost? Well, according to info from China, HTC will sell it for 1,999 Yuan ($323), that’s only a rumor at this point though.
