LG G4 Pre-Orders on US Cellular Begin on May 29th

Last week, Sprint announced pre-orders for the LG G4 with a street date of June 5th. Amazon also has the Sprint LG G4 on pre-order with it launching on June 4th. Now US Cellular has given us word that they will begin pre-orders on May 29th. No word on when exactly the device would go on sale, but we can expect sometime in the first few weeks of June, as the other carriers are expected to release theirs between June 4th and the 12th. Although we only have official dates from US Cellular and Sprint at this time.

The LG G4 was announced on April 28th, and it’s been receiving rave reviews. Even from us, at Android Headlines. The LG G4 has a 5.5-inch QHD 2560×1440 resolution Quantum IPS display, along with Qualcomm’s hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and 3GB of RAM. There’s also 32GB of storage with a microSD card slot, and a removable 3,000mAh battery inside. Additionally, we have a 16MP camera on the back paired with a color spectrum sensor and laser auto-focus. The color spectrum sensor is there to help with white balance, which many struggle with, and in our review, it worked really well. The LG G4 takes some pretty amazing pictures although it does over-sharpen pictures from time to time. It’s still up there as one of the best cameras on a smartphone.

LG announced that the G4 would be coming to all of the major US carriers, including Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and US Cellular. T-Mobile is currently doing their preview on the LG G4, and shortly after they should be available in magenta stores. There’s no word on AT&T or Verizon just yet. As far as the different backs go, there’s no word on which colors US Cellular will have just yet. We do know that Sprint will have the black leather, no word on who else will have leather.

The LG G4 is one of the most talked about smartphones this year behind the Samsung Galaxy S6, and with good reason. LG didn’t need to change a whole lot from the LG G3, but they fixed just about all the annoyances from the LG G3. Which is a good thing.
