It has already been reported that Samsung plans to offer dual-SIM versions of the Galaxy S6 in select global markets such as the Philippines, China, and Russia. Today there are additional signs surfacing that Samsung may plan to release a Galaxy S6 dual-SIM variant in Brazil as well. Dual-SIM handsets are great because they give smartphone users the ability to literally hold two phone numbers at a time. This is especially useful for people traveling internationally who need an extra SIM card to use with the local cell carriers. Frequent flyers will likely be quite pleased with Samsung’s growing roll out of a dual-SIM Galaxy S6 to several markets.
Samsung Brazil actually has yet to release any official confirmations of a dual-SIM Galaxy S6 launch in the country. What is drawing reports to speculate on a Brazil launch being close at hand, is the fact that some retailers in the country are quietly listing the phone on their websites. Unfortunately, several of the retailers have now taken their dual-SIM Galaxy S6 pages down, since drawing the internet’s attention. However, there is one retailer which is leaving the page up for everyone to see. Pontofrio, a major retailer in Brazil, still has its listing for the dual-SIM Galaxy S6 even giving buyers installment plans to purchase. While the retailer lists the handset with no specific model number, the title of the listing obviously points towards a dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy S6.
Even though several retailers have since taken their pages down for the dual-SIM Galaxy S6, the fact that so many have been sighted means anxious buyers in Brazil probably should not have to wait long. The Samsung Galaxy S6, of course, is the latest among two flagships to be released this year by the South Korean based company. The Galaxy S6 has top of the line specifications, and this time around, Samsung has chosen to go with their in-house produced Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor. Samsung also managed to pack in 3GB of RAM alongside various storage capacities ranging from 32 to 128GB. As for the display, a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED QuadHD panel gives users a rich, pixel dense experience. The Galaxy S6 ships with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop underneath Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
