T-mobile has a new promotion in the wings for those interested in Samsung devices. The basic breakdown? Customers who purchase a Samsung smartphone and tablet together will end up getting a $100 rebate card back. This new promotion which starts today was first discovered back on May 11th, and is a way for T-Mobile to drive sales on Samsung devices while promoting the benefits of a harmonious smartphone and tablet partnership. As is usual with these types of promotions, T-Mobile makes no mention about when the deal will end so there is a sense of urgency for customers to at least consider whether they have any interest in this promo or not.
For those that are interested in grabbing this deal, the details are as follows. Customers will need to either add a new line and purchase a Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 4, or Galaxy Note Edge, or upgrade to any one of those phones and put the device on the equipment installment plan (EIP). The second part of this promotion requires customers to also make a purchase on one of two Samsung tablets, either the Samsung Galaxy Tab S or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. The tablet can be purchased on the same day as the new device, but it doesn’t have to be as long as the purchase is made within 30 days of the smartphone purchase. The last couple of caveats state that T-Mobile customers will also have to put the tablet on the equipment installment plan as well and make sure that both devices are on a qualifying postpaid service plan, and lastly, the tablet has to have at least 1GB of data tied to it.
Once all these requirements are met, T-Mobile will begin processing the rebate submission and within an 8-week time frame customers should receive a prepaid MasterCard with the $100 rebate on it. This is decent deal for anyone who is in the market for a new device and may have been considering picking up a tablet, however it’s not likely one to draw in customers who aren’t in need of a device upgrade. Even though there is no mention of the end date for this promotion, asking a sales rep or customer service rep over the phone might reward you with such knowledge.
