Although the news of the week is certainly Google and their annual I/O event, there has also been a large number of LG reports coming down the wire. This is of course, due to their latest LG flagship device, the LG G4 finally making its way to an ‘available’ status. In fact, today there has already been a number of announcements going live. The most notable came from T-Mobile so far who have confirmed the LG G4 can now be purchased through them. Not to mention, they are also giving away a free 128GB microSD card to those who make the purchase with them. If you are in the UK then it seems Carphone Warehouse have also opened up the availability of the G4 to their customers.
Well, next to fall in line and make known their availability is Verizon, who has today announced (source link below) that pre-orders for the LG G4 through them, will be available starting tomorrow. This is ahead of the scheduled June 4th in-store date that Version are touting. Not to mention, the announcement also states that those who pre-order through them will see their shipping commencing before the June 4th date.
In terms of prices, the LG G4 will be available on Verizon Edge over a two-year contract for $22.91 per month. This equates to a full retail price of $550, for those who do not want to go the route of a contract. Unfortunately, Verizon did not state in the announcement how much the device would cost on a standard two-year contract, although it is widely expected to come in around the $199.99 figure. Color variants available through Version will include Ceramic White, Metallic Gray and Genuine Black Leather. To add to the G4 day for Verizon, they have also announced that on the same day they will be launching the LG G Pad X8.3 and this will be available on a two-year contract for $149.99 (or $299 off contract). However, Verizon are offering those who pick up the LG G4 through them, the opportunity to pick up the LG G Pad X8.3 along with the G4, for only $49.99 extra. Alternatively, Verizon is also reminding everyone that LG are offering a free 32GB microSD card, extra battery and cradle when purchasing the LG G4, including through Verizon.
