Asus’ Chromebox for meeting is made for organizations and marketed as such. This Chromebox is powered by the 4th-gen Intel Core i7-4600U SoC which ships with Intel HD Graphics 4400. This thing also comes with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 100GB of Google Drive storage for 2 years, amongst other specifications. As any other Chromebox, it runs on Chrome OS. You can start a remote meeting, restrict external calls or manage users from the central management console. The Asus Chromebox for meetings is priced at Rs. 90,000 in India, which equals $1,415.
Intex Unveils PBX-6KL Power Bank For Rs. 2,500 ($39)
The Intex PBX-6KL is a 6,000mAh power bank which has a built-in LED Lamp with 11 LEDs, which is plenty. This thing also has two USB 2.0 ports, four battery indicator LEDs and it stars up automatically as soon as you plug it in your device to re-charge it. This accessory measures 125 x 82 x 15mm and weighs 168 grams. Intex’s new power bank is priced at Rs. 2,500 in India and you also get one year warranty with it.
HTC One M9+ Hits Taiwanese Market For NT$23,000 ($781)
The HTC One M9+ was announced back in April in China. This is a high-end offering by HTC which is exclusive for the Asian market at the moment, and it seems like it’s going to stay that way. This thing features a physical home button which also doubles as a fingerprint scanner, it’s powered by MediaTek’s MT6795T 64-bit octa-core SoC and it ships with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The 5.2-inch QHD display is also a part of this package, and the same can be said about its DuoCamera setup on the back (20MP + 2.1MP). The One M9+ costs NT$23,000 ($781) in Taiwan.
Sprint International Value Roaming Is Now Available For A Number Of Additional Countries
Sprint, the US-based carrier, has expanded the availability of their International Value Roaming. The service is now available in Colombia, Denmark, Honduras, Ireland, Italy, Paraguay and Sweden. What does this mean? Well, you’ll be able to roam data for free if you travel to either of those countries, but you’re limited to 2G speeds. Keep in mind that this service is free, but if you need faster connectivity (3G), you’ll have to pay extra. 100-500MB of data actually costs $15-$50 and you have 14 days to spend that.
Japanese Carrier au Announces That Xperia Z4 And Z4 Tablet Are On The Way
au is actually the second Japanese carrier to announce the availability of the Xperia Z4, NTT DoCoMo was first. au has announced that the Xperia Z4 smartphone, and the Xperia Z4 Tablet will launch in mid-June. The Xperia Z4 will be available in Black, Copper, White and Aqua Green, and the Xperia Z4 Tablet will arrive in Black and White variants. The carrier did not reveal any info when it comes to pricing, but we can expect more info soon.
Siswoo i8 Is A New Mid-Range Handset By The Company
The Siswoo i8 is a new offering by this Chinese company. This thing sports a 2.5D curved glass on top of its display, and will arrive soon. The Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed here, and this thing will be powered by the MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. Russia Trying To Tone Down Android And iOS Presence With Sailfish OS
It seems like the Russian government has become somewhat concerned for its security lately. They are preparing a customized version of Jolla’s Sailfish OS, at least according to the country’s Minister of Communications and Mass Media, Nikolai Nikiforov. Russia is apparently trying to tone down its dependency on foreign technology to 50% by 2025. Russia is highly-dependent on Android and iOS at the moment, 95% of smartphone users actually use one of the two operating systems.
Oppo Announced Three Accessories Alongside Their New Smartphones
Oppo has announced their Oppo R7 and R7 Plus handsets a couple of days ago, same can be said about the new version of company’s Color OS. Well, alongside that, this China-based company has also showcased tree new accessories, the Compass Fitness Tracker, O-Key Bluetooth headset and a Selfie Stick. Oppo’s fitness tracker sports a circular display, and a rubber band, while Oppo didn’t release that many spec info. The O-Key is a Bluetooth headset which can also be used as a remote shutter for your camera. The Selfie Stick, however, is self-explanatory, and it will cost 39 Yuan. The Cloud M5 II is Intex’s new entry-level smartphone. This thing will ship with a 5-inch FWVGA display and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. Two SIM slots will also be available here, and same can be said about its 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and 8GB of internal storage. This thing is priced at Rs. 4,799. The Z45 Nova+, on the other hand, is a new offering by Videocon. This smartphone sports a 4.5-inch FWGA IPS panel, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. This is also a dual-SIM handset and it will ship with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. The Z45 Nova+ is priced at Rs. 4,900 in India.
