Additional UMi Iron Details Revealed

UMi is a Chinese smartphone OEM which we’ve talked a couple of times lately. The company is constantly teasing the arrival of their new UMi Iron smartphone, and new Bluetooth headphones. We’ve talked about the UMi Iron a couple of times now, what do we know thus far? Well, the UMi Iron will ship with 3GB of RAM, will sport a full metal body build and will be 7.9mm thick. Moreover, the phone will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed, with some additions from UMi, of course. We also know that the phone will launch on June 23rd, and the company has released a couple of new teasers lately, and revealed some additional info.

According to a newly available info, this handset will sport a 25MW directpath from Texas Instruments, which should improve the Hi-Fi audio output. The 25MW directpath is said to offer great noise cancellation, omnibearing noise suppression, prevent acoustic shock, offer solid low-frequency fidelity and it will also feature a protection again short-circuit and thermal-overload. That’s not all though, the company has also revealed some additional spec info when it comes to this handset, read on.

The UMi Iron will ship with a 13-megapixel rear-facing Sony camera (IMX214), and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter (we still don’t know which sensor are we talking about here). What’s even more interesting is the fact that this device will offer a front-facing LED flash, which we’ve already seen in smartphones before, but not many of them actually have that functionality. The front-facing LED flash is quite probably not a must-have for the vast majority of you, but some people might appreciate it.

There you have it folks, the pieces of the UMi Iron puzzle are slowly, but surely coming together. We have quite a few details regarding this handset thus far, and the launch date is only a week away. In case you’re interested in this handset, mark your calendars for June 23rd, and stay tuned to Android Headlines, we’ll let you know when the company decides to release this handset.
