It seems Boost Mobile may have a new Alcatel phone on the way as the Alcatel One Touch Conquest is reported to have just been approved by the FCC, leaving likely very little time before the device hits Boost Mobile store shelves and the online website, although there is no detail on an exact release date at this time. The full list of details and specifications on the Conquest are not known just yet, but the FCC listing seems to point out that it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, pegging this device as a smartphone aimed at the budget market. It’s also said to have tri-band LTE support.
As shown in the image the Conquest also has front and rear cameras, with an LED flash accompanying the rear-facing camera, and compartments on the side for both the SIM card and the microSD for expandable storage. With the SIM slot on the side of the device it’s possible the Conquest will feature a non-removable battery although it isn’t known how large the capacity will be. Other than what’s been listed there doesn’t appear to be any other details about the phone unfortunately, like price, screen size, resolution, or battery capacity. If this is indeed a phone headed to Boost’s network though, with its budget specifications it likely won’t cost consumers too much.
The Alcatel Conquest would join other low budget handsets on Boost Mobile like the recently launched LG G Stylo, as well as the Motorola Moto E, both coming in at $200 and $99.99 respectively. The LG G Stylo also sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 CPU, so it’s likely the cost of the Alcatel Conquest will come in somewhere under the $200 price point. When it comes to Alcatel, there not as prominent as other OEMs, although they do have a few handsets here and there which are compatible with other US networks, like the Alcatel One Touch Idol 3, which is an unlocked device set at $250 that is compatible with T-Mobile’s LTE bands. If you’re currently a Boost customer and are looking for a new phone down the road, keep an eye on the Conquest as a possible option.
