There have been a number of devices which have caught user’s eyes over the last few months and year in general. The big ones that will come to mind in the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the double sided YotaPhone 2. However, one device that caught a lot of attention last year and made it onto a number of ‘top 10’ lists (although, for the wrong reasons) was the Fire Phone by amazon.
This was Amazon’s big game changing device which looked to cement the company’s position within the smartphone hardware market. As such, Amazon did heavily invest in the promotion of the Fire Phone and not to mention heavily skinned android in the form of Fire OS. However, once the device landed and made its way into customers hands, it received a lot of negative criticisms and reports began to come in thick and fast suggesting they Fire Phone was not going to sell very many. This prediction was soon realized when reports did come in confirming the lack of sales for the Fire Phone and Amazon themselves even began to admit that they had made mistakes with the Fire Phone. Either way though, that has not stopped Amazon already thinking and planning on the follow-up device, the Fire Phone 2. The good news from all of this, is that for many people the Fire Phone has become available at a much-reduced price and can often be picked up in the U.S. for as little as $190 with a year’s free Amazon.
Well, it now looks like it is the turn of the UK Amazon customers to pick up a deal. Amazon UK has currently dropped the price of the Fire Phone in the UK to only £99. What’s interesting is that they have dropped both the 32GB and 64GB models both down to £99 with free delivery. It is worth pointing out though that the Fire Phone is locked to UK carrier, O2. Either way, if you live in the UK, are on O2 and fancy giving the Fire Phone a try then you can for £99. Click the source link below to head over to the Amazon UK Fire Phone listing.
