AT&T's $200 Bill Credits For Next Customers Ends Today

AT&T is offering up a deal for new and existing customers, so if you already subscribe, were thinking about subscribing, or weren’t really considering it but could be swayed by the temptation of some money back, then you might want to sit up and take notice. According to AT&T, new and existing customers can receive a $200 bill credit through a promotion they’re currently running, but the promotion began yesterday and is only good for a two-day period which means you have until the end of day today to take advantage of it. Like any promotion where customers are given free money or money off their bills, AT&T isn’t just going to give this to you without having to do anything, there are a few caveats.

The first one we’ve already mentioned. Customers have to take advantage of the promotion by today, so if you miss out, you won’t get another chance, although there is no way of knowing whether or not your own local AT&T reps would honor this past the promo date, so if you feel inclined, go ahead and ask. The other thing to be aware of is that the bill credit won’t show up immediately and it will take a 3-month period before the credit appears on the bill. This is pretty standard with bill credits so most customers should be familiar with it at this point. If at any time during the three months you’re waiting for the credit your account drops into a delinquent status, you presumably lose the bill credit so you’ll want to make sure your bill is paid up and stays that way.

The other important detail is that to get this bill credit through the promotion, customers have to choose a Next plan, so if you’re not already on one you’ll need to switch to it. If you’re unfamiliar with the Next plan from AT&T, this is AT&T’s payment break up for devices, or more commonly known as their version of the equipment installment plan. So the basic breakdown is that you’ll need to be buying a new device (remember, this is for both existing and new lines) and split it up into AT&T’s Next payments over your bill. If your device falls around the $200 mark, think of it as AT&T paying for your phone in 90 days.
