Doogee is a China-based smartphone OEM we’ve talked about several times recently, and that’s because info regarding new smartphones just keeps on coming. We’ve talked about Doogee Valencia Y100 Pro, Doogee F3, Doogee X1 and Doogee S6000 recently, and it’s time to talk about yet another Doogee-branded handset which will be arriving soon. Anyhow, let’s see what Doogee is planning to release, shall we.
Our source provided us with some info regarding yet another Doogee-branded smartphone, the Nova Y100X. According to the available info, this handset will feature a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS OGS display with a 2.5D curved display on top of it and Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection. The company also plans to utilize the special coating which will make the phone handle fingerprint smudges really well, and should keep your phone somewhat clean. The phone will be available in Black and White version only, at least as far as we’re able to find out.
This phone has a rather interesting volume rocker placement, as you can see in the provided image. The placement seems similar to the one you’ll find on the first-gen Nexus 7, though the volume rocker on the Doogee Nova Y100X will be located on the left, not right side. Doogee seems to believe this is going to be really natural to use because the phone will be very compact, we’ll see. The phone’s side bezels will be only 1mm thick, and as you can see, three capacitive buttons will be located below the display: menu, home and back, respectively.
Our source told us that the phone will launch before the end of this month, which probably means we’ll see more leaked info soon, so stay tuned for that. Doogee is really pushing a lot of devices out to the market lately, it seems like they’re trying to fit the needs of a lot of people, and differentiate at the same time. The S6000 will sport a 6,000mAh battery, the S1 basically won’t have any bezel on the sides, and then there’s Nova Y100X which we’ve talked about in this article. It will be interesting to see what else this China-based company has to show us, stay tuned.
