Samsung is currently the biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world, and the company has already released quite a few devices this year, including their Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge flagships. This Korean tech-giant is well-known for its mid-range Galaxy offerings as well, and we’ve actually talked about one such device quite recently, the Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition. Some info and renders of this handset have leaked earlier, and now we have some more information when it comes to this handset, read on.
The listing of this phone was spotted in Netherlands, one of the retailers over there jumped the gun it seems. Along with the listing, the retailer has also revealed the partial specifications of Samsung’s upcoming mid-ranger. The Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition will feature a 4.5-inch display along with 8GB of internal storage. This thing will be powered by a quad-core processor running at 1.2GHz, and even though the listing doesn’t reveal the manufacturer of this chip, earlier report stated that Marvell’s PXA1908 64-bit quad-core SoC will quite probably fuel this smartphone. The Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition will feature a 5-megapixel snapper on the back, and a 2-megapixel shooter up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop will quite probably come pre-installed on this device along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI which will be installed on top of Google’s OS.
By the looks of it, this handset will resemble its predecessor a whole lot. We still don’t have the full spec info so can’t exactly compare them head on, but they seem similarly specced. The Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition will almost certainly be made out of plastic, and Samsung will quite probably release this handset soon. July is a viable release date for this thing, and according to the Dutch retailer, the phone will launch on July 23rd (at least in Netherlands). You can also expect this handset to be extremely affordable, it might even cost as much as the Galaxy Core Prime did when it launched back in November 2014.
