Samsung is currently the number one smartphone OEM in the world. This Korean tech giant tends to release a lot of smartphones a year, along with all sorts of other tech actually. Samsung has already unveiled their 2015 flagships, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The company is nowhere near done announcing devices though, the high-end Galaxy Note 5 phablet is due to arrive in September, and Samsung will almost certainly announce at least a couple of smartphones until then.
That being said, Samsung also releases a ton of mid-range smartphones every year, and Galaxy Grand Prime is definitely such a device. This smartphone was announced back in September 2014, and has been selling relatively well in emerging markets despite everything. Well, the specs will be similar to the regular edition of this device, perhaps even identical (aside from Android version). As a reminder, the Galaxy Grand Prime sports a 5-inch qHD (960 x 540) display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. This device is powered by the Snapdragon 410 64-bit octa-core processor, and it packs a 2,600mAh battery on the inside. The 8-megapixel camera is located on the back of this smartphone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front.
