The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have been some of the most anticipated products from Samsung to have launched in a long time. While they’re not perfect, they’re the first two products to offer Samsung fans a number of things they’ve been asking for for a long time. Things like a premium, high-end look and feel to match what’s on the inside as well as a device with flexible display technology used in a meaningful way. The Galaxy S6 Edge is a good-looking device no matter what color you choose, but it’s safe to say that extravagant colors like the Emerald Green version help the device stand out a little further.
In India, those looking at the – admittedly very expensive – Galaxy S6 Edge can now order it from Samsung’s online site in Emerald Green. The Emerald Green version of the Galaxy S6 Edge is available for RS 58,900 from Samsung and features 32GB of internal storage. This joins the White and Black versions of the Galaxy S6 Edge, as well as the Platinum Gold option however, this is listed as not currently in stock from Samsung’s eStore. While the Galaxy S6’s price continues to steadily fall, the Galaxy S6 Edge is still one of the most expensive devices on the market, and this is just for the 32GB model. Bare in mind that with either the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge there’s no way to expand this storage or even remove the battery to replace it with something larger or to keep you going on the road.
Pricey devices like these will continue to launch from Samsung, and as smartphones steadily become something of a status symbol in India, different colors and editions of devices will become even more important. Whether or not the Indian consumer is willing to pay a premium for these options remains to be seen, but in a market like India’s, features and value for money will continue to play the biggest roles.
