Huawei did great in 2014, this China-based smartphone OEM managed to sell a lot of devices and increase their revenue. Huawei Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus, Ascend P7 and Ascend Mate 7 were the most popular Huawei-branded devices last year, and the company has picked up where they left off in 2015 as well. Huawei has announced three new devices as part of their P8 line a while back, and has also introduced the Honor 4C mid-ranger, as well as two mid-range tablets. The Huawei P8 is the company’s crown jewel this year, and we’ve already reviewed it in case you’d like to check that out. This smartphone OEM also plans to announce the Honor 7 handset soon, a device which was certified by TENAA in China quite recently.
That being said, another Honor-branded device has surfaced in China. If you take a look at the provided image above, you’ll notice a really interesting render. Now, this render might even look somewhat unrealistic, that handset sports almost no bezel on the sides, and by the looks of it, it has three cameras on the back. It’s bezel up top is also very thin (like it was on the Ascend Mate 7), and the chin below the display is also not that thick. The phone looks really good overall, I believe we’d all agree on that, but the question is, is it real? Well, we’ve already seen a number of odd devices in the last couple of years, some of which sported two cameras one the back (Huawei’s Honor 6 Plus for example), and even triple LED flash (Lenovo Vibe Shot). What I’m trying to say here is, it is possible that this thing is real, although this render looks rather far-fetched.
The handset we’ve talked about seems to be made out of metal, and it sports a rather interesting design, and a similar handset actually surfaced in China recently. The device in question is actually a mid-range variant of a Honor-branded smartphone which you can see in the second image down below, the handset was even certified by TENAA, which means that it will launch in the near future. This thing will quite probably be a variant of Huawei’s Play line of devices, and by the looks of it, this thing might also sport three camera sensors, though it seems like it will be made out of plastic.
