Meizu M1 Note was one of the best budget smartphones in 2014, and we were waiting for this China-based company to unveil its predecessor. At first, we thought that will happen in Q4 this year, but the company has decided to launch that thing a lot sooner than that. The M2 Note smartphone has been launched a couple of days ago in Beijing, and it resembles its predecessor a whole lot. The two devices actually share a number of specs, and look rather similar in terms of general look, but the M2 Note sports a physical home button below the display, which is something you weren’t able to find on the M1 Note which sported a capacitive button / dot below the display.
We’ve already covered the launch of the M2 Note extensively, and are here to talk about something else. A Chinese tech portal, IT168, has already dismantled this handset and decided to show us what lays inside of it. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice a ton of images which will give you a good look at this handset. The dismantling of this handset wasn’t that complicated it seems, and everything was in place, as listed in the official specs. Anyhow, the Meizu M2 Note features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IGZO fully laminated display, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage (depending which version you choose). Meizu’s newest offering is fueled by the MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with a Mali-T720 MP3 GPU. On the back of this smartphone you’ll find a 13-megapixel shooter (dual LED, dual tone flash included), while there’s a 5-megapixel available on the front side of this handset. This is a dual SIM, 4G LTE (FDD-LTE, TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA) handset, and Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on it with Meizu’s Flyme UI 4.5 on top of it. The 3,100mAh battery is also located on the inside of this handset.
The device comes in a range of color options: White, Blue, Gray and Rose. The 16GB model will set you back 799 Yuan ($129) in China, while the 32GB variant costs 999 Yuan ($162). There you have it folks, check out the images in the gallery down below if you’re interested.
