Mlais is one of many China-based smartphone OEMs which are trying to make a name for themselves. This company hasn’t really released that many devices thus far, but some of their smartphones are more than solid. We’ve recently reviewed the Mlais M7 handset, which is actually the company’s current flagship, and it turns out it’s a really, really solid handset. The company has also released the MX Base a while back, which was actually originally called ‘Mlais MX’.
Speaking of the MX Base, Mlais will be holding a flash sale soon, and you’ll be able to purchase this mid-ranger for only $99.99 (including delivery). As a comparison, the handset now costs around $140. Anyhow, this sale will actually last a whole month, but the first round will start tomorrow (July 1st) and finish on July 10th. The flash sale will start on July 1st at 18:00 (GMT+8) in case you’re interested. That being said, let’s take a look at the MX Base one more time, and see what can you get for $99.99.
The Mlais MX Base features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 64GB). This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, and it ships with a huge 4,300mAh. This battery should provide more than enough battery life even for hardcore smartphone users. The 13-megapixel camera is available on the back of this smartphone, and an 8-megapixel snapper can be found up front. Dual-SIM and 4G LTE (FDD-LTE) connectivity are also available here, and the device ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed. The MX Base measures 145.8 x 71.5 x 9.9mm, and it is available in Blue, Black and White color variants.
This handset sports three capacitive buttons below the display, menu, home and back, respectively. Its design is somewhat understated, though it will work for most people. There you have it folks, Mlais’ mid-ranger will be available for only $99.99 soon, and considering its specs, that’s not a bad price point. You get mid-range specs here, a solid looking device, and a huge 4,300mAh battery which should be able to get you to the end of the day without a problem.
