Meizu MX4 was one of the most popular Chinese smartphones in 2014. This handset was offering premium build along with great specs, and was really affordable. Meizu managed to make a name for themselves last year after releasing the Meizu MX4, MX4 Pro and M1 Note handsets. The MX4 and MX4 Pro were basically the company’s flagships, while the M1 Note was an extremely capable mid-ranger. The M2 Note is expected to be announced today, and we’re already on the scene, so stay tuned for that. That being said, we’ve already seen a number of rumors and leaks regarding the MX4’s successor, and today we have some additional info to share with you.
A number of images leaked, allegedly showing off the Meizu MX5 handset. The Meizu M1 Note didn’t sport a physical home button, and the M2 Note definitely will, the company’s VP has already confirmed it. Well, it seems like something similar will happen in MX4 and MX5’s case. The Meizu MX4 sported a circular capacitive button below the display, and according to a number of leaks lately the Meizu MX5 might sport a physical home button instead, much like the MX4 Pro which launched last year. This is not confirmed by any stretch of the imagination, but a number of leaks are pointing in that direction.
Anyhow, a number of new alleged MX5 images have leaked, and you can check them out in the gallery down below. The device is pictured from more or less every corner, and it seems like it will sport a metal build this time around as well. As far as specs go, we really didn’t see that much-leaked info. The Helio X10 octa-core and X20 deca-core processors have been mentioned in various leaks, but we’re still not sure the phone will sport either of those. The MX5 is expected to ship with 3 or 4GB of RAM, and Android Lollipop will come pre-installed on this handset with the company’s Flyme UI on top of it. You can also expect this thing to be somewhat affordable, especially considering the high-end specs which will be included in the package.
