T-Mobile Announces 'JUMP on Demand'

Almost two years ago, T-Mobile announced JUMP. Which allowed users to pay $10 per month on top of their EIP and plan price, to be able to upgrade to a new phone twice a year. It was a pretty sweet program, actually. As part of Uncarrier Amped today, T-Mobile announced JUMP On Demand. With the new program, users can upgrade anytime, and don’t have to pay $10 per month like with JUMP. Simply walk into a T-Mobile store anytime you want to upgrade, and boom.

“Here’s how JUMP! On Demand works: Get a new smartphone for zero out of pocket with qualifying credit, and zero sales tax due today, followed by one low monthly payment that includes the cost of that new smartphone and, for free, the ultimate freedom to upgrade whenever you want. When you want a new smartphone, just swap your old phone for a new one. That’s it.”

You can get a new smartphone for free, of course with qualifying credit, also zero sales tax is due today. You also have one low monthly payment which includes the cost of your brand new smartphone you just picked up. Now you are free to upgrade whenever you please. You can upgrade on JUMP On Demand up to 3x a year. There’s no limit on how often, you just have three upgrades in a calendar year. So you could upgrade to the Galaxy S6 on launch day, then the LG G4 on launch day and the Galaxy Note 5 on launch day. Pretty sweet deal when you think about it.

JUMP On Demand will be available at participating T-Mobile stores nationwide beginning on June 28th, which is this Sunday. So if you are an existing JUMP user, you can upgrade this weekend and get onto JUMP on Demand and forget that $10/month fee you were paying before. With JUMP On Demand, you are making 18 monthly payments instead of 24, which you were doing previously. So that means your monthly payments might be a bit higher than normal. But only by a few bucks, when you think about it. You can read T-Mobile’s full press release  in the source link below.
