This Video Shows The Simplicity Of Using Samsung Pay

Back when Samsung unveiled both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, they also announced a new payment service that they call Samsung Pay. By now most of you are probably already familiar with what Samsung Pay is and what it will offer. But one thing that never really seems to get discussed when Samsung Pay is written or talked about is its ease of use and just how simple the service will be for users. Samsung reminded us of just that today with a video that the company published on their TIZEN Indonesia YouTube channel.

Right now if you head over to the TIZEN Indonesia YouTube channel you will see that the latest video pertains to Samsung Pay. More specifically it has to do with how simple and easy the payment service is to use at a physical location. The video is short and to the point, it shows a man at what appears to be a coffee shop making a purchase. All this man does is pull out his Galaxy S6 Edge and use it to scan his fingerprint, holds it up to an NFC terminal, which authorizes the purchase and he is good to go. The whole process literally takes no more than seconds to complete.

For those of you who have no idea what is being talked about in the above paragraph, here is a brief overview of what Samsung Pay is. It is essentially a wireless payment service that will be built into Samsung devices, similar to what Apple Pay is to Apple devices. The service will allow users to register a card and then use said card to purchase things at businesses just using their Samsung smartphone. To summon Samsung Pay while out, all the user would need to do is swipe up from the bottom bezel of their phone and it will then prompt the user for a fingerprint read, once the user scans their finger they can then tap their device to an NFC terminal and make a purchase.

Samsung Pay is set to launch in September in the US and South Korea. Soon after the service is set to launch in China and Europe. The latest from Samsung was that both Visa and Mastercard and currently supported by the service with more bank support such as Bank of America and Chase in the works.
