Wickedleak is an India-based smartphone manufacturer, and it’s possible that you haven’t heard of them thus far. This company has, however, released quite a few smartphones and tablets since 2009 when the company was founded. Their Wammy Note 3 handset which launched back in August has been very well-received by the Indian consumers, and Wickedleak has decided to release its successor, the Wammy Note 4. The device was announced quite recently actually, and we’re here to check out what it has to offer.
The Wickedleak Wammy Note 4 is actually a very well-specced smartphone. This thing features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 64GB). This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core SoC running at 1.7GHz. The 13-megapixel snapper is located on the back of this handset (Sony’s IMX214 sensor), and a dual-LED flash can be found below the camera sensor itself. The 5-megapixel shooter is available up front for all your selfie and video call needs. This is also a dual-SIM handset which offers 4G LTE connectivity (FDD-LTE Band 3 1800MHz, and TD-LTE Band 40 2300mHz), and a 3,250mAh battery is also a part of the package. The company says that this handset has a 74% screen-to-body ratio. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this thing, but the Lollipop update will land soon. The Wammy Note 4 measures 152 x 75.5 x 8.7mm and weighs 177 grams.
“Following the success of Wammy Note 3, we are proud to introduce Wammy Note 4 smartphone. Wickedleak has always believed in providing the best specifications at the best price. With Wammy Note 4, we bring the high-end smartphone experience in the price of a mid-range device,” said Aditya Mehta, CEO at Wickedleak. This handset will be available in Black and White color variants, and costs Rs. 14,990. The phone is already available for purchase directly from Wickedleak website, in case you’re interested. There you have it folks, this is the Wammy Note 4 handset, and it’s currently only available in India. This handset might become available through various resellers in the future, but we don’t believe Wickedleak will release it outside of India though. Having that in mind, everything is possible, let’s wait and see.
