ZTE has released three very appealing devices this year, the Nubia Z9, Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini. The first two devices are premium offerings by the company, and the Nubia Z9 is ZTE’s flagship for this year. That handset offers ‘bezel-less’ design and some unique features, along with the rather sleek look. The Nubia Z9 Mini is a mid-range handset, but still powerful nonetheless. That being said, we’ve seen a leak of the ZTE Star 3 recently. The phone’s renders have leaked and revealed the dual camera setup on the back, and now we have some additional info to share with you.
According to a new leak, the ZTE Star 3 will sport a curved battery on the inside. The leak also mentions that the ZTE Star 3 will be first in a line of ZTE-branded devices to sport such a battery, the company plans to include such units in their upcoming smartphones and wearables as well. We don’t really have that much information as far as specs of this handset go, but we did see some renders a while back, and if those were accurate, this handset will sport a rather sleek look.
The phone will reportedly sport dual camera setup on the back, and the LED flash will be located between the two cameras. This handset will also sport a metal frame, and will have a really thin bezel on the sides. There will also be two variants of this handset, the first variant will sport plastic or metal back, and the second one will have an interesting back cover, similar to the one you can find on the 64GB OnePlus One model.
Another thing that we’ve noticed while expecting the images a while back is the fact that the phone is missing the power / lock button. It is possible that the leaked renders are not that accurate, or perhaps that we were looking at an unfinished design, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
