Meerkat Gains Web Embed Capabilities

Since Periscope launched on Android, Meerkat hasn’t seen much action. But this week they did announce a new feature. Now you are able to embed streams onto web pages. Not a huge feature, but something that could come in handy for sure.

HTC Dot View Case App Gets Updated

The app for HTC’s Dot View case was updated this week, and now we get even more information on the screen. While it’s pixelated, it’s still pretty cool. We also already have  a few games that can be played on the Dot View case, which is rather unique.

Smartband Talk gets support for Google Fit

This week, Sony updated their companion app for the Smartband Talk. One of the more appealing features is that it now has support for Google Fit. Some of the other new features in this update include voice search as well as new clock faces.

Solid Explorer leaves beta, v2.0 Now Available

One of our favorite file managers for Android has just left beta. It’s version 2.0 and it’s now available in the Play Store. It’s gotten a minor facelift, but also gained Chromecast support. So now you are able to go ahead and cast videos from your phone’s internal storage to your Chromecast using Solid Explorer, which is pretty unique.

Nokia’s HERE Maps get updated

This week, Nokia updated their HERE Maps app for Android with reversible lanes traffic and directions. Which are coming to 12 US and European cities. These cities include Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, New York and many others.

Carbon For Twitter Gets updated

This week, Carbon for Twitter got a nice update, bringing in a few new features. Like the new Retweet style that Twitter implemented. As well as GIF and multiple image support. As well as plenty of bug fixes, as usual in an app update. The version is 2.4, and it’s available now in the Play Store with a pretty lengthy changelog to go with it.
