Doogee X5 Will Ship With 4G LTE, Cost Only $49.99

Doogee is a Chinese smartphone OEM which has been releasing smartphones like crazy lately. The company has unveiled a number of mid-range offerings, and a few more are inbound, and same can be said about the company’s ‘F3’ flagship. Doogee will release a couple of F3 variants, and one of those variants will include the wood back cover. Anyhow, if you’d like to know more about that device, click here. That being said, we’ve received some interesting information from our source, it seems like this company is also working on an extremely affordable handset which is supposed to launch soon, read on.

The Doogee X5 will sport a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display, and will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6580 quad-core SoC. This handset will also ship with a 2,200mAh battery, and a 5-megapixel camera will be located on its back. The phone will be made out of polycarbonate, and you can check out its design if you take a look at the images down below. The device’s design is really nothing to write home about, but it looks alright. Both the power / lock and volume rocker buttons are located on its right side, and there are three capacitive buttons available below the display, menu, home and back, respectively. The LED flash will be located next to the camera sensor itself, and it seems like this phone will be available in White and Black color options. Other color variants are also available, but not yet confirmed. This smartphone will also offer 4G LTE connectivity, which is quite unexpected considering its price.

Speaking of its price, the Doogee X5 will cost only $49.99 according to the source, and will hit the market next month, in August. This is a killer price tag, especially if Doogee managed to put 1GB of RAM in this thing. Our source has also hinted that the MT6735 variant of the device will also be available at some point, but that handset will be slightly more expensive than the one we’re taking a look at today. There you have it folks, we’ll let you know if anything new pops up.
