The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is one of the more powerful devices out there, its design has been praised and it’s indeed highlighted in the ads to raise awareness for those consumers looking for a fashionable design in their smartphones. Of course, what makes it stand from the rest is the 5.1-inch AMOLED curved display which along with its QHD resolution provides a stunning viewing experience. A lot of rumors have been floating around regarding a possible new phone for Samsung to be released in a near future, which could mean a change in the strategy for the company by releasing a second flagship device besides the new Galaxy Note. Samsung has released the same flagship device with upgraded specs a little later, but this would be the first time that a flagship device includes a larger screen in its new iteration.
Even the name Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has been trademarked by the company, so it’s pretty safe to assume that the device really exists. Much like the name suggests, it is rumored to have a 5.5-inch or a 5.7-inch display curved towards the edges like in the regular S6 Edge and there will be very few changes in its hardware. To support these rumors, there have been leaked images and more recently, images of possible cases for this device and even the dimensions have been leaked, which at 154.45 x 75.80 x 6.85mm is definitely larger in every dimension than the S6 Edge except for its thickness.
Now, some photos have emerged that provide a visual comparison between the dimensions of the alleged Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the version that was introduced not too long ago as a dummy of the larger version has been built, supposedly so that Chinese case manufacturers could test the quality of their products. The design, button layout and the raised module of the camera are pretty much identical so there are no surprises there. This information comes from @OnLeaks, which has been accurate in some of their reports regarding devices that had not been officially announced, still we will have to wait a little more to confirm this.
