Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is one of the most refreshing devices lately in terms of design. This smartphone was announced alongside the Galaxy S6 back in March, and it actually sports curved display on both its left and right side. The Galaxy S6 devices are Samsung’s flagship offerings at the moment, but we’ve been seeing quite a few leaks regarding the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus handset which is supposed arrive in the coming weeks. The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will essentially be a bigger variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge, and the device was already certified by the FCC it seems.
We’ve seen quite a few Galaxy S6 Edge Plus leaks thus far, and are here to share yet another one with you. If you take a look at the first image down below, you’ll see the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus compared to the Galaxy S6 Edge. The Galaxy S6 Edge lays on top of the S6 Edge Plus, so that you can get a good look at how much bigger the upcoming handset is. The two devices are basically identical in terms of the design, except the microphone is in a different place on the S6 Edge Plus it seems.
If you take a look at the second image down below, you’ll notice Galaxy S6 Edge Plus’ specs listed. The device will be powered by the same SoC that powers the Galaxy S6 devices, the Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor. Mali-T760 GPU will be here to take care of the graphics, and the resolution of the display on this thing will be 2560 x 1440, in other words we’re looking at a QHD display. That being said, previous leaks / rumors have suggested that this handset will sport a 5.5 or a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, which is almost certainly accurate. The 16-megapixel camera is said to be located on the back of this thing, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be available up front. The 3,700mAh battery was also mentioned, and the device will ship with 32GB of non-expandable internal storage (at least one variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus).
There you have it, we’re still not sure when the device is supposed to launch, but according to the report, it will arrive on August 12th. We’ll have to wait and see how accurate that info is, stay tuned.
