Over the last few months (and best part of the last year really) almost every manufacturer has brought to market a smartwatch. Not to mention, the most recent trend has been to make sure that their flagship watch is one which is circular in nature. In fact, it was only this morning that ZTE unveiled their smartwatch offering in the form of the Axon Watch. This one joined the ranks of the most recent watches adopting a circular design and more premium look. That said, one of the watches which has been attracting significant attention of late is Huawei’s offering. The company took their time in bringing their option to the market and only finally unveiled the Huawei Watch at this year’s MWC event back in March.
However, since then it seems they have also been taking their time in actually bringing the smartwatch to market. Although, recently there has been a number of reports coming through and detailing that the Huawei Watch looks to be edging closer to its release and due to land soon. The most recent being a report highlighting the Huawei Watch has passed through the FCC. This occurred last month and is normally a good indicator that a device is about to land. Well, it now seems that there is further fuel adding to the speculation that the Huawei Watch is about to become available as images are now surfacing online showing the packaging in which the Huawei Watch is said to be shipped in.
When the Huawei Watch was unveiled, ‘premium’ seemed to be the look and feel that the company was aiming towards and by the looks of the packaging, it would seem this is going to be the case here too. The packing adopts a traditional watch box look adding to its emphasis of being a more traditionally inspired watch. Not to mention, the Huawei Watch wording seems to be embossed in Gold on the inside of the box. Of course, whether the premium packaging will add to what is already rumored to be a highly expensive watch, remains to be seen.
