InFocus Unveiled 3 New Handsets, One Sports A 3D Display

InFocus usually announces quite a few devices in India every year, but the company actually announced 4 of them today. We’ve already covered the announcement of the highest-end out of the bunch, the InFocus M820. That handset sports a 5.5-inch display, 3GB of RAM and is powered by the Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s made out of anodized aluminum, which gives it that sleek look. Either way, we’ve already talked about that smartphone at length, let’s check out what else InFocus announced today, shall we.

The company has announced InFocus M550, M808 and M370 today. The M550 is also a very interesting smartphone, mainly because it sports a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) stereoscopic 3D display. InFocus said that you can watch 3D content on this display without putting on 3D glasses, which certainly sounds interesting. The device also ships with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. MediaTek’s MT6752 64-bit octa-core SoC clocked at 1.7GHz powers this handset, and a 3,100mAh battery is also a part of the package. The 13-megapixel shooter is available on the back of the InFocus M550, and a 5-megapixel camera is located up front. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this smartphone, and the device is priced at Rs. 15,999 in India, while it will be available for purchase in September.

The InFocus M808 is another mid-range offering by the company, and it’s made out of anodized aluminum, while it sports a unibody design. The device sports a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable in-built storage. The 13-megapixel shooter is located on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper is available on its front side. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with the company’s Inlife UI on top of it. The non-removable 2,450mAh battery is also a part of this package, and the device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core SoC running at 1.3GHz. The M808 costs Rs. 12,999, and will also be available in September.

The last, but not least, the InFocus M370. This is the lowest-end handset the company has announced today. It features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. This phone is powered by the Snapdragon 210 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.1GHz. The 8-megapixel snapper is available on the back of this device, and a 2-megapixel shooter can be found up front. This is a dual-SIM smartphone which offers 4G LTE connectivity, and a 2,230mAh battery is available on the inside (it’s removable). Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here, and InFocus’ Inlife UI is installed on top of Android, of course. This smartphone will cost Rs. 5,999, and will also be available in September, like every other smartphone InFocus has announced today.
