Rumors of the upcoming Moto G for 2015 have the device pegged for an announcement in the near future, and a series of leaked images have already surfaced on the web which could give consumers a look at the device prior to Motorola officially unveiling it. While no features or specifications have yet been confirmed by Motorola, it’s hard to ignore the details which come along with the leaks. Official details may come up sooner than later as Motorola has scheduled an event for next week on July 28th, where it’s speculated that they’ll make announcements for the Moto G as well as the Moto X.
Whether or not that ends up being the case is still uncertain, but a new leak has popped up showing an image of a supposed dummy device of the front and back of the new Moto G. While the design of the back has already been shown off a few times in various other leaked images leaving little to the imagination, it’s the front that will likely end up grabbing attention since it appears to list off a number of specifications for the device. Included among the specs which are focused on is a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, along with 4G LTE support and a micro SD slot. It also showcases that the next Moto G will be IPx7 water resistant meaning it’ll withstand the rain should users be caught outside in it while using the device.
It also lists a quad-core processor as well as a 2,470mAh battery. What isn’t listed is the amount of RAM, but that’s speculated to be 2GB of RAM, and it could come in both 8GB and 16GB storage options. It should also be sporting Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box given the most current devices have already started receiving the updates to it. This latest image also shows that the Moto G will come equipped with dual front-facing speakers as well as the front-facing camera. When it comes to price, assuming Motorola wants to stick to the same price point as the past device, consumers can probably expect a $200 cost.
