While rumors and speculation are a normal day’s business in the tech world, the last 24 hours has seen a surge in rumor news and specifically in terms of the latest offerings from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 5 and the also highly rumored Galaxy S6 Edge+. Both devices have been making the headlines constantly and quite often together. In fact, in the last 24 hours at least two different reports have suggested that the two devices will be pushed forward in their release schedule and will actually be released in August, ahead of their expected September unveiling. The newest of these reports, which came through this morning specifically state that the launch date for both devices will be August 12th and availability to purchase to begin August 21st.
Well, in addition to the August release dates, the other rumors mounting today suggest that the Galaxy Note 5 will not be available (at least at first) in Europe and instead, Samsung will hope to push forward in Europe with the Galaxy S6 Edge+ variant. Not to mention, renders have also surfaced today showing off various aspects of the Note 5. Well, following on from this and it looks like some more renders are making their way online. These latest ones come courtesy of known leaker OnLeaks and again show off the Galaxy Note 5.
However, unlike the latest batch of renders which came through this morning, these latest ones come highlighting the size and design differences between the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and both compared to the standard Galaxy S6. As such, users can get an idea of how the devices will stack up in terms of size and shape. It has already largely been reported that the Note 5 will be roughly 5.7-inches in size and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is expected to be a larger version of the Galaxy S6. If the image scale is correct then the S6 Edge+ will certainly be more similar in size to the Note 5 than the Galaxy S6. Either way, if the scheduled August release dates are correct, it won’t be long until both of these devices become official.
