Samsung Galaxy A8 is leaking all over the place. We’ve seen a number of leaked renders and hands-on images in the past, and the device has even starred in an hands-on video. That’s not all though, the Galaxy A8 has been certified by TENAA in China a while back, and this phablet was also listed on Suning’s website yesterday. According to that listing, this phablet will be available for purchase on July 17th, so it’s possible that Samsung intends to announce it on said date, or perhaps even sooner than that. The device was also imported into India for testing purposes two days ago, and the phone leaked once again today.
If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll see the newly leaked Galaxy A8 render. The phone looks identical to pretty much every other leak we’ve seen thus far, this render does give you a really good look at every side of this phablet though. As you can see, Samsung’s upcoming device sports a metal frame, and the 3.5mm headphone jack will be located at the bottom of the phone. The power / lock button is placed on the right-hand side of this phablet, and the device will be only 5.9mm thick, which will make it the thinnest Samsung-branded smartphone ever. The Galaxy A8 is obviously a Samsung-branded device though, its design is easily recognizable.
Samsung’s newest phablet will sport a 5.7-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core SoC will fuel this thing, and Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it will come pre-installed here. The 3,050mAh battery is also listed, the phone will offer 4G LTE connectivity, of course. The 16-megapixel camera (f/1.9 aperture) will be available on the back of this handset along with an LED flash, while you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel snapper on the front side of this device. That’s pretty much it, the phone’s unveiling is right around the corner, though it’s possible additional info will leak before that happens, so stay tuned for that, we’ll report back as soon as possible.
