The OnePlus 2 announcement will happen later today, and leaked material just keeps on coming. We’ve seen a ton of OnePlus 2-related info surface in the last couple of weeks, and a couple of those rumors / leaks have popped up earlier today. The OnePlus 2 will be launched today at 7 PM PST, in case you’d like to tune in and see what happens. The OnePlus 2 will be the company’s second device, and a 2015 flagship. It was earlier confirmed that the phone will sport a Type-C USB 3.0 port, and that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC. The device was also certified by TENAA already, and yet another listing has popped up recently, read on.
OnePlus’ upcoming flagship has paid a visit to GFXBench. The listing actually says that the device sports a 13.7-inch display, well, that’s probably because it’s connected to an external display or something of the sort. The OnePlus 2 will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM which are listed down below. 64GB of internal storage will also be a part of the package, and the Snapdragon 810 is also listed here along with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics. Interesting enough, the Snapdragon 810 included here seems to be underclocked and it’s running at 1.7GHz. This might actually be OnePlus’ way to prevent any chance of overheating or anything of the sort. The 13-megapixel camera is also listed here, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be available up front for your selfie and video call needs. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed on the OnePlus 2, as previous leaks / listings suggested.
The OnePlus 2 will also sport a physical home button below the display, which will double as a fingerprint scanner, at least according to one of OnePlus’ recent teasers. The Laser Autofocus will also be available on the back of this device, and should help out with focus speed, that’s for sure. That’s more or less it, as previously mentioned, the phone will launch later today. OnePlus is holding their VR event at 7 PM PST, so tune in if you’re interested, we’re at the scene and will be covering the event live.
