If you missed all the news that happened last night then you are probably unaware that the OnePlus 2 was finally unveiled. Chances are you do know, but to briefly recap, OnePlus did finally take the curtains down on their latest device and revealed all the details that they had not previously leaked themselves prior to the launch. As such, the device was met with some interesting debate on how it stacks up as a follow-up device to the highly popular OnePlus One. On the one hand, the OnePlus 2 is much sleeker and takes more refined design cues than the One. However, on the other hand, it seems to be missing some rather basic and expected 2016 flagship killer features like NFC or any sort of quick or wireless charging aspects.
Well, whichever side of the fence you fall on, if you want to get more up close and personal with the onePlus 2 and see if the feel of the device adds to your decision as to whether or not to buy, then OnePlus are embarking on a tour across nine major cities. The tour commences July 31st and as such this will be the first opportunity you get to test out the device in person. As the unit is scheduled to begin shipping on August 11th this will give you plenty of time to make up your mind before the availability begins. In terms of the tour details, OnePlus will be showing off the OnePlus 2 as dedicated pop-up locations in San Francisco, London, Paris, Berlin, Jakarta, Milan, New York, New Delhi and Bangalore. According to OnePlus, those who attend the events will be able to maybe secure an invite and even possibly win a free OnePlus 2. Not to mention, the first fifty people through the pop-up doors will bag themselves a OnePlus goodie bag.
