After months of leaks and rumors, Oppo has finally announced the Oppo R7 and R7 Plus back in May this year. These two devices are made out of metal and sport a really solid set of specs. That being said, Oppo has announced that the R7 Plus will finally be available for purchase in China starting today, and that has just happened. The device is now listed on JingDong Mall in China for 2,999 Yuan ($483), which is exactly what the previous report suggested. The Oppo R7 Plus is a 6-inch phablet made out of metal. This thing sports a 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display and ships with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor powers the Oppo R7 Plus along with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics rendering. The 13-megapixel camera is available on the back of Oppo R7 Plus, while the dual-LED, dual tone flash and Laser Autofocus are also included. The 8-megapixel shooter can be found on the front side of this phablet, and a 4,100mAh battery is also a part of the package. Oppo also includes the company’s VOOC Fast Charging tech which will charge this battery up in no time. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with Oppo’s Color OS 2.1 installed on top of it. The Oppo R7 Plus measures 158 x 82 x 7.8mm, while it weighs 203 grams.
As previously mentioned, Oppo R7 Plus is made out of metal, which makes the device both look and feel quite premium. There are no capacitive buttons on this device, only the on-screen ones in addition to the physical ones that are located on the sides.
