Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge+ is still all but official, but there are no lack of rumors and leaks over the unconfirmed handset. Just earlier this morning it was discovered that Samsung has applied to trademark “S6 Edge+” which is still not a confirmation or direct formal response saying the device exists and is being worked on, but it is as close as it gets to having an actual announcement for now. Sometime after the trademark seemed to have been discovered, a leaker which goes by the name of @onleaks on Twitter has posted another leak in regards to the new smartphone from Samsung
This time around the leaks are images of a design render of the phone in CAD, claimed to be of the Galaxy S6 Edge+. There was also a leak this morning that claims to be the case for the rumored phone, both of which seem to show off a similar design makeup. This new image leak displays all the attributes of a Galaxy S6 Edge, so there doesn’t appear to be anything defining that points to it being the Galaxy S6 Edge+. The CAD design render does match up with the leaked image of the case from earlier this morning though so while this is still nothing but a rumor it’s also likely that this leak is showing off what the phone will look like.
Since this is essentially supposed to be an improved Galaxy S6 Edge, the design wouldn’t be much different if at all. Other than what we’ve seen in terms of leaks, there is nothing known about the device other than rumored hardware specs, which includes a potential 5.5-inch display suggesting an increase in size from the original Galaxy S6 Edge, which would explain the “+” in the name denoting a larger screen size. Even though Samsung hasn’t give out any details on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ just yet, the phone ios beginning to take shape and Samsung could decide to announce it sometime more towards the Fall when they usually announced their second round of flagship devices. If this is the case then they would be announcing it alongside the Galaxy Note 5, which is speculated to be announced sometime in September.
